NEEDLES

Size 16” US 7 needle

Size 7 double pointed needles (dpns)

GAUGE

16 sts over 24 rounds = 4” over st st with size 7 needle and yarn held double

Check gauge for best results.

Stitch Glossary

Stockinette Stitch = knit around

K2tog = knit 2 stitches together.

Width 9”

Length ” 9.5 excluding pom pom

HAT

Using two strands of Chelsea Luxe Cobblestone and one strand of Chelsea Luxe Mohair cast on 72 stitches, place marker and join in the round.

Knit 2, purl 2 for 2 inches.

Next round knit in stockinette until hat measures 7.5 inches.

Shape Crown

Note change to DPN’s when there are few too sts on needle.

Knit 2 together around.

Rnd 1 (dec) *K6, k2tog; rep from * around.

Rnd 2 (and all following even rnds) Knit.

Rnd 3 (dec) *K5, k2tog; rep from * around.

Rnd 5 (dec) *K4, k2tog; rep from * around.

Rnd 7 (dec) *K3, k2tog; rep from * around.

Rnd 9 (dec) *K2tog; rep from * around.

Cut tail, pull through remaining sts.

Join in the round.

Knit 1, Purl 1 around until piece measures 18”.
Bind off loosely.
